Zeblaze Crystal Smart Watch Review
Zeblaze Crystal Smart Watch Review: We need to test the Zeblaze Crystal Smart Watch from https://alterilanswers.com/. For these reasons, we will judge the quality. We tested for quite a long time, around 2-3 weeks.
Zeblaze Crystal Smart Watch Review
The watch is delivered in a beautiful, durable and stable box. As soon as you open it, you will find the current watch on a foam stand and a box with a short USB cable and a charger. The manufacturer states that the device is IP65 water-resistant (that is, it is resistant to jets of water under pressure from any direction). I showered, got caught in the rain, and made myself a snowman with this watch. Everything is fine, and the device worked perfectly. -20 º C frost was also no obstacle to operation. The battery was immediately weak, but the sensor worked fine.
Nothing peeled off or fell off during the trial period, which is excellent.
The smartwatch turns on quickly within 7 seconds. First, you will see a short Zeblaze intro on the screen and then the desktop with the clock. You can choose from 7 types of watch faces, ranging from an analog watch face to a digital date and time display. Of course, you will be asked to set the date and time the first time you start the watch. Then we switch to the app menu and concentrate on each app.
Everything here is simple and customizable. In the upper right corner, there is a clock and a battery indicator. There are 4 app icons on the screen. The number of symbols can be changed, but 4 is optimal. You can scroll up and down through the desktops, and the scrolling is done in a loop. Here is the full list of the perks available to you:
- Phone Book
- Call History
- Remote Notifications
- Find the Device
- Alarm Clock
- Music Playback
- Remote Camera
- Bt Connection
- File Manager
- Color Design Manager
- Standby Reminder
- Heart Rate Monitor (Requested Monitoring)
- Heart Rate Monitor (Real-time Monitoring)
- Sound Recording
- The Settings
Neither our loyal readers nor anyone who has come across smart devices will be surprised by any of these features. However, for the sake of completeness, I feel it is necessary to cover every detail. Also, we go into all the specifics.
The Smartphone Compatible Apps
I will describe them all as a whole. Long story short, I’ve tested everything, and it works. There is, of course, no magic, no kites flying, and no sick people are cured, but everything works as it should. There are a few nuances, however. These cons are subjective, but we will list them as it is our job to give our opinion on the product.
It was a little difficult for me to work with the phone book and the call log as I’m a man with pretty big hands. The response is clear and unbiased, but I probably accidentally pressed something since the screen is so small. I did not use SMS on this watch from the start.
The speaker is pretty quiet. When you listen to music or talk outdoors, you can barely hear the person you are speaking to. The microphone is acceptable if you keep your wrist with the watch at a distance of 16 inches from your mouth.
If your smartphone has two SIM cards, you have to select an active one on the phone as the smartwatch does not support such a function.
The Bluetooth connection was excellent. I already mentally prepared to use some voodoo magic to make it work, but both the Android smartphone and iPhone 5S are connected instantly, which is fantastic. However, it is unclear why manufacturers chose only to support the enhanced operating system.
The smartwatch is only compatible with Android 5.1 and above and iOS 8.4 and above, which is a small share of today’s market. If the product continues to be sold in the future, this is not justified. The competition is intense, and models with a greater range of functions are definitely offered at the same or cheaper price.
BT Connection and Find My Device have the same idea but are implemented differently. The watch is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The only possible reason we’re building multiple apps for this is to indicate.
The file manager is a regular task manager. It allows files to be opened and removed.
We really liked the Color Theme Manager. There are only 2 color themes, and there is a separate app for them.
The music is played back via the smartphone. It doesn’t get stuck, and the sound comes out through the watch’s speaker.
Once synchronized, the image is transferred to the watch screen. After that, all you have to do is tap a single icon to take a picture. You can also use it as a baby tracker: place the smartphone over the baby’s cradle and do your business while wearing the watch within the range of the Bluetooth connection.
Remote notification service means that you select the apps on the smartphone from which you will receive notifications on the watch. Facebook, your email, and Skype all send notifications to the watch. You can only read the messages as there is no answer option. However, this will help you decide whether to pull the phone out of your pocket.
It works just fine and counts the steps well. It is enough to turn it on once as it will work autonomously. It works when you’re cheating, too: if you purposely imitate walking, the counter moves up. However, fake steps are minimized as I tried to keep my arm steady while walking (the counter worked) and driving (the counter did not work).
The minimum set also includes counting distance and calories burned. First, set your height, weight, and the desired result. Your goal may be to burn n calories, walk a certain number of meters, or take a certain number of steps. The calorie counter is hard to check, but it counts steps well. I tested it on both myself and my wife, and the difference in results was right.
It works fine too. The app version is the most limited as the sleep phases are not displayed. It only shows the beginning, the end, and the rating (good, bad, excellent, etc.) of your sleep based on the app’s algorithms. I found out by myself that the monitor stopped working as soon as I wake up. My wife also helped me determine that the delay in starting monitoring is plus-minus 5 minutes.
Heart rate monitor
The monitor works properly when it works on demand. All you have to do is sit down and wait about 10 seconds for a character to appear on the screen (a real one). Real-time monitoring is, to put it mildly, very delayed. It’s tolerable for you to sit still on the sofa, but the result was sad after a hardcore test of jumping, jogging, sitting, lying, jogging, and lying again.
First of all, I almost died. Second, after a jog, the monitor showed that my heart rate was first 120 beats, then 50 beats, and then 240 beats. The result was unstable even when I was calm. In short, this app certainly cannot be used for medical purposes. In general, most smartwatches can’t, but keep this fact in mind when making your choice.
It’s simple, so it works well. All you have to do is set the length of time, and as soon as the timer counts on it, your wrist will vibrate. This is a good health control app.
A smartphone app
You can get the link to download the smartphone app by reading the QR code on the watch’s screen or in its manual with your mobile phone. I would also recommend downloading a third party app for this smartwatch as the default app only gives running distance and the history of calories burned. In addition, your result is shown as a percentage through Smart Visuals. There are other features that mimic those available without downloading the app.
Our General Impression and Summary!
All in all, I liked the watch. The battery is in standby mode for 4 to 5 days and in BT mode for 2 days. The exterior is pleasant, and the watch is trendy and goes well with different outfits.
The price is reasonable provided everything is as advertised on GearBest.com. In reality the watch is overpriced. Personally, I would rate it 8.2 out of 10.
Comparison With Samsung Gear Fit
For the sake of completeness, let’s compare this product with a device in another price segment, Samsung Gear Fit. Manufacturers are positioning the device as a fitness machine, but in reality it looks like it’s just another smartwatch. It only has two competitive advantages over Zeblaze as it is a better quality screen and the battery is twice as powerful. The rest doesn’t matter.
